DIY curator Ralph Borland made a presentation about DIY to officially launch the project, at 6.30pm on Friday 5 December 2014 at Atlantic House, 1 Perth Street, Maitland. The presentation was followed by Summer Shaa, an absolutely nice party featuring blockbusting DJs Little Jonny, Gary Reuben Morris, DJ Warm-Porridge and Pawel “the human Swiss pole” Ferus.
